Overview of the Position Responsibilities: The primary responsibility of the NOC Systems Analyst is to maintain and improve computer and monitoring systems as well as processes for the Network Operations Center. System Analysts may be required to work outside standard hours to oversee upgrades or fixes, ensuring there is minimal interruption to business as usual. The NOC Systems Analyst will need to be familiar with tasks using various standard network management tools, internal ticketing systems, and monitoring consoles. The NOC Systems Analyst may also serve as a coordination point for communications between internal and external customers as well as other operations teams during events which affect various sites. This person will help with root cause analysis of recurring incidents and raising escalations internally and externally as necessary. If this sounds exciting, please read on.

What You Will Do:
- Maintain and upgrade existing systems as required
- Design new NOC monitoring systems and frameworks
- Troubleshoot technical issues
- Risk mitigation planning
- Collaborating with IT since they are owners of the tools
- Collaborating with Business Operations, Network Engineering, Project Leads and IT team to resolve issues and ensuring solutions are viable and consistent
- Creating system guidelines and manuals for the Network Operations Department
- Running training sessions and workshops on system processes
- Conducting regular reviews of systems and generating reports on efficiencies and improvement areas
- Structuring and prioritizing business requirements and communicating plans with stakeholders for review and approval
- Coordinate efforts with third parties and vendors to resolve problems and issues as they arise
- Provide timely, comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve efficient resolution to outstanding problems or issues
- Perform preventative maintenance testing on the network as scheduled
- Perform proactive health checks as part of normal surveillance
- Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and/or reports as requested
- Possess an in-depth knowledge of network resources and components, software monitoring tools, data communications protocols and hardware, and the video, Internet, and telephone infrastructure
- Update process documentation and internal knowledge base to ensure all procedures are known
- Track performance and capacity using basic statistical concepts and tools
- Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
- Associate degree or Vocational Certification in a related discipline is required such as Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration, Network Engineering or Management Information Systems
- Experience with systems monitoring tools for Network Operations or Managed Service Providers
- Minimum 1-year technical experience with working knowledge of FTTx, CATV systems and/or IT networking, or Network Operations
- Working experience with Ethernet, IP and other elements and architectures used in modern ISP or Carrier communication networks
- Working knowledge preferably with HFC Broadband and PON technologies used for service delivery by ISP’s
- Data, Telephone or Video Network troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance experience in an enterprise telecommunications environment or equivalent
- Upon job offer, must be able to pass background check and drug test prior to employment
- Candidates must possess the ability to multitask, problem solve, think clearly and respond in a fast-paced or fluid environment
- Must be reliable and dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn and contribute to building a successful NOC team
- Possess ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Identify opportunities for improvement while creating and implementing viable solutions
- Multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure
- Train and guide new team members as required
- Effectively communicate with other departments to manage changes, upgrades, and tools
- Possess strong, comprehensive technical and computer skills, including various applications, operating systems, etc.
