BluePearl is currently seeking an experienced Regional Vice President of Medicine for our Northeast Region. This Region consists of New York, New Jersey, Massachusettes, Pennsylvania, and Delaware. The Regional Vice President of Medicine oversees and directs medical practice and clinical quality within a defined region having revenues of $150MM or greater. Partners closely with region’s Regional Vice President of Operations to optimize business performance and the clinical culture. Executing through effective local leadership, the RVPM travels frequently to ensure Medical Directors have the direction, tools, and self-development necessary to ensure medical quality, drive clinician-driven culture in each hospital, ensure clinician engagement and retention, support clinician recruitment, foster a culture of training, and deliver upon organizational objectives (OGSM). Assists senior leadership with the development, implementation and management of organizational initiatives and strategies. As the Regional Vice President of Medicine, you will: Lives and exemplifies the Five Principles of Mars within self and team. Ensures the development of medical leaders and creates a pipeline of talent to support future organizational growth. Leads and directs the Medical Directors of assigned region to ensure adherence with organizational objectives in areas involving medical quality, clinician recruitment, retention, and engagement, and ensuring that the hospital is a learning environment supporting the clinical development of clinicians and technicians. Directs and plans the medical operations of a defined region to maximize returns on investments and increase productivity, providing leadership and decision-making in matters impacting medical quality, clinical culture and clinical effectiveness. Ensures medical leaders are attentive to the engagement level of associates and drives a positive hospital climate. Partners with the RVPO to effectively communicate and cascade key initiatives impacting medical staff. Partners with RVPO to ensure appropriate productivity levels and growth plans for clinicians and hospitals, including maximizing technical teams. Interacts with all levels of the organization to manage the business. Regularly interacts with senior executives. Actively contributes to the development of practice guidelines and care protocols that lead to the achievement of quality medical and service outlines and cost efficiencies. Maintains current knowledge regarding regional veterinary services market and industry issues which may impact the business. Other duties as assigned. Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree, DVM, and successful completion of 1-year rotating internship required. 10 years of clinical practice as an Emergency or board-certified Specialty Clinician, with at least 5 years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and/or revenues of $15MM required.
