Position Summary: 

Benefits Specialist works alongside the Benefits Manager to administer & guide staff on BlueSprig’s ADA & ACA policies. Guides employees on benefits matters regarding eligibility, coverage, and provisions. The Benefits Specialist will assist with the care of injured workers. This position requires an individual who can successfully partner with the Human Resources Department, Compliance, and Finance as necessary to achieve an overall goal of data accuracy.

Responsibilities

 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

 

 

  • Will assist with managing the ACA designations within ADP.
  • Will assist with meeting with staff to discuss leaves of absences and the STD/EDD Process
  • Will assist with meeting with staff/managers to discuss the terms of intermittent leaves of absence.
  • Will assist with managing the ADA interactive process with employees and leaders.
  • Will assist with coordinating and leading monthly meetings with center leadership of those centers that have multiple injured staff members.
  • Updating Employee Medical Records and benefits files as directed by Benefits Manager
  • Completing Bona Fide Offer Letters & DWC-1 for Injured Employees when necessary
  • Will attend Safety Meetings with the Insurance Broker quarterly.
  • Completing ACA training yearly alongside Benefits Manager
  • Completing ADA training yearly alongside Benefits Manager
  • Monitoring Incident Reports and assisting with reporting claims to WC Carrier(s) as needed alongside the Benefits Manager
  • Responsible for tracking and following up on employee injuries along with the Benefits Manager
  • Host Benefits Webinar Meeting monthly.
  • Assist Benefits Manager with Open Enrollment tasks as assigned.
  • Assist with conversations alongside managers regarding benefits eligibility.
  • Auditing of Vendor Billing may occasionally be required.
  • OSHA Reporting Responsibilities will be required.
  • Will attend quarterly Retirement Services Calls Alongside Benefits Manager
  • Other Duties as Assigned
