ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Risk Strategy Analyst at BlueVine you’ll play an essential role in developing business performance dashboards, monitoring and maintaining our decisions quality. Providing insights on where it can be improved as well as help build a highly scalable Risk Operations team.
This is not a fully remote role. At BlueVine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform proactive and reactive deep dives on the unsecured lending portfolio utilizing data analytical tools (SQL / Excel / Tableau/Metabase)
- Effectively communicate and present findings to the management team to strengthen business decisions stemming from portfolio reviews with the Risk Operations Leadership to help improve book performance and operational efficiencies
- Support building and maintaining performance tracking dashboards for the Risk Operations team in Tableau and Metabase
- Improve existing policies and workflows and help build a strong, scalable process
- Work on portfolio management projects that require data-driven analytics and insights for continuous improvement.
- Assist business owners in identifying and measuring operational risks and effective controls through a risk and control self-assessment
- Extract insights from the large volumes of data and come up with new strategies to mitigate/stop fraudulent activities
- Build a deep understanding of the Risk data, reporting, and key metrics
- Participate in project definition and idea generation, work on collaborative projects with partners across the globe with a focus on the Risk/Fraud mitigation
- Monitor BlueVine’s Risk Portfolio
- Share insights and recommendations with the Risk Leadership and lead implementation
- Drive operational improvements by aligning between BlueVine’s product, automation and Risk Operations
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- College degree (Economics / Mathematics / Business) or relevant work experience as an Analyst in a financial institution
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint (large group presentations) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- SQL is required, Tableau and Python knowledge/coding experience preferred
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Quick-thinker, fast learner, problem solver
- Strong work ethic—gets things done within a strict time frame
- Collaborative nature
- Knowledge of bank operations, including but not limited to account application processing/customer onboarding, payment processing, deposit operations, fraud operations and customer support
