Position Summary 

BlueVolt works with companies to turn learning into a strategic asset. We build strong relationships by growing and learning from our customers as they grow and learn from us. We are looking for an Instructional Designer who also has background and a familiarity in graphic design. Successful applicants need strong writing and research skills, the ability to write effective instructional content that’s concise and in storyboard format. Working knowledge of online course authoring tools is preferred. A portfolio of writing samples that represent the ability to distill content into clear and concise messaging recommended for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop ELearning courses and training materials for our diverse customer mix
  • Consult with customer Subject Matter Experts in different industries to establish clear learning objectives for their training materials
  • Collaborate as part of an ELearning design team to meet project deadlines
  • Collaborate with Graphics Designer on course structure, functionality, and progression
  • Manage work across multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Organize and manage assets from a variety of sources
  • Interpret and implement course design based on storyboard content
  • Participate in reviews of all work for quality assurance, with close attention to detail
  • Other work as needed

Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years proven work experience writing for online course development, or in a marketing role
  • Strong written and verbal skills; the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
  • Graphic design experience and proficiency in presentation design using PowerPoint or other course authoring tools, Articulate Storyline 360 preferred
  • An understanding of design principles, media, and training methodologies preferred
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks while working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Basic understanding of Learning Management Systems
  • Illustration, animation, video production, and print design skills a plus
