SUMMARY:
Responsible for guest satisfaction through proper use and facilitation of communication systems including telephone and in writing. Will maximize room occupancy and average daily rates through proper reservation skills when needed. Participates all front office activities and resolves guest problems. Responsible for meeting or surpassing all departmental goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs and improves efficiency with communication programs; includes PBX, e-mail and two-way radio applications. Maximizes awareness of activities, rates, room types and events for guest and staff awareness and participation. Ensures guest satisfaction and safety/security of guests through knowledge of BlueWater Resort & Casino, amenities, activities and proper guest relation applications. Completes all pertinent information as needed, including call volume reports, guest history customer complaints, etc. Is cross-trained in all guest services and reservation tasks. Makes eye contact, smiles and greets guests warmly and sincerely. Uses proper phone etiquette and greetings. Provides proper security, safety and emergency procedures and information as required for guests and fellow employees. Complies with BlueWater Resort & Casino rules and regulations. Complies with Federal, state and Tribal laws. Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations. All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
This job duty requires the following: The ability to answer, control and organize up to 10 phone lines of incoming calls; general and specific knowledge about BlueWater Resort and Casino, including (not limited to) special events an outlet hours of operations, locations of various services, room types and codes; knowledge about Parker and the surrounding areas.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
High school or GED equivalent. Relevant experience may substitute for this requirement. Minimum Three (3) years working experience in hospitality or tourism related industry, preferably with hotel Reservations/Front Office preferred.
