As a Hardware Product Manager, you will engage with business and engineering teams to plan, investigate and launch new products, improvement initiatives and product releases. You will leverage your exceptional organizational and communication skills to balance workloads and expectations, while also using your analytical skills to synthesize product usage trends and identify opportunities to improve the users’ experience and expand business opportunities.
In this role you will collaborate closely with project management, designers, engineers, analysts, product marketing and other cross-functional team members within the organization to ensure that our products deliver seamless user experiences to end users.
This role will have product responsibility for solution offerings for the Biometric business unit, including traditional Government verticals as well as commercial verticals including health care, financial and retail.
What you will be doing
- Analyze business requirements and define product use cases and requirements to meet such use cases
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive product innovation, obtain buy-in for product initiatives and set expectations
- Communicate solution design/requirements to both product development teams and business teams
- Support product lifecycle activities including new product introduction, continuous product improvement and end of life
- Manage product requirements throughout the product lifecycles
- Manage the hardware portion of the product roadmap in conjunction with the overall Biometics Solutions roadmap
- Hold project gate meetings to review progress and gain approval to move projects forward
- Hold core team meetings and work cross-functionally with internal team members
- Collaborate with business partners to develop product strategy and drive project initiatives
- Support day-to-day product questions and issue resolution
- Document and communicate product changes to the business and members. Participate in change management internally with departments and end-users.
- Work with hardware development team members, software product managers, the software development team and quality assurance to successfully implement and deliver solutions
What we are looking for
- BA/BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years product management related positions within the technology industry specifically with hardware products. Experience with biometric solutions is a plus.
- Familiar with Product Management Tools (Confluence/Jira, Microsoft Teams, Miro)
- Familiar with Financial Reporting Tools (Oracle)
- Proven ability to successfully launch products and services globally
- Experience in managing a hardware portfolio with associated S/W (SDKs, Drivers)
- Expertise in the area of identity, security and biometrics
- Experience implementing cybersecurity requirements
- Proven capability of cross-functional collaboration & ability to gain consensus
- You are decisive but open to new ideas

- You are comfortable with, and able to manage constructively; change, ambiguity, debate, conflict, and informed risk taking
