What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at Bmax?
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the development of efficient, cost-effective manufacturing systems that meet product specifications and quality standards. Focusing on the entire production process, to optimize workflow, by integrating new technologies to ensure the sustainability and safety of manufacturing operations. Researching automation techniques to maximize the efficiency of production lines, planning factory layouts, identifying opportunities for improvement, and increasing productivity while maintaining product quality.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Research, design, and evaluate manufacturing products, equipment, processes, procedures, and systems
• Research testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors
• Planning factory layouts, maintenance, and production targets
• Managing budgets, establishing and maintaining process instructions and documentation, reporting systems, and financial records
• Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and responding to breakdowns
• Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Training manufacturing staff on new equipment and processes
• Liaising with suppliers, customers, and research and development staff
• Apply Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce output variation
• Estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and develop line balancing
• Ensure maximum first pas yield and minimum scrap
• Provide technical leadership
