What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal, Technology Risk and Control, Execution Governance & Oversight position at BNY Mellon?
Global Regulatory Solutions (GRS) sits within the Global Operations & Technology (GOT) Office which is a centralized function that supports Operations & Technology for the benefit of the enterprise.GRS is responsible for the governance and oversight of all change within the regulatory lifecycle for the first line of defense, and engages both internally and externally to ensure BNY Mellon complies with its regulatory obligations.
Also owns the Business Analysis domain within BNY Mellon’s Technology Enterprise Change Management Framework (TECM).
This role will:
- Governs and directs global stakeholders in identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and minimizing Regulatory Risk during the delivery of programs and projects across the enterprise.Contributes to developing the strategic direction of the Global Regulatory Solutions (GRS) function, with a broad understanding of Financial Services regulation and experience of how Technology supports the Lines of Business in delivering associated change. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and direct business decisions.
- Governs and directs global stakeholders in identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and minimizing Regulatory Risk during the delivery of programs and projects across the enterprise.Contributes to developing the strategic direction of the Global Regulatory Solutions (GRS) function.
- Responsible for oversight of the regulatory portfolio of programs designed to ensure that impacted areas within BNY Mellon achieve regulatory compliance. Work includes identifying, analyzing, monitoting, reporting and minimizing regulatory change risks, and monitoring adherence to compliance strategies
- Consult and advise on all technology risk matters.
- Supports related risk programs: audit response, regulatory inquiry and response, etc.
Qualifications
- Regulatory understanding is essential
- Broad understanding of Financial Services regulation and experience of how Technology supports the Lines of Business in delivering associated change.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and direct business decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
- 10-12 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a significant plus.
