About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic data-driven Growth Marketer to join our team at Boardable. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and executing strategies to drive user acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion. You will play a critical role growing our user base and optimizing our marketing efforts through experimentation to enhance customer engagement and maximize lifetime value.

Growth Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Growth Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy focused on user acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools and data insights to identify growth opportunities, track key performance metrics, optimize campaigns, and provide actionable insights.
  • User Activation: Use user data to personalize onboarding experiences and recommendations, ensuring users engage with features relevant to their needs.
  • Product-Led Growth (PLG) Initiatives: Collaborate with product, customer success, and sales teams to implement PLG strategies, including in-product messaging & experiences, ensuring seamless user onboarding and engagement.
  • Growth Experiments: Develop hypotheses for growth experiments and set up tests to validate or invalidate these hypotheses, using data-driven approaches.
  • Lifecycle Marketing: Develop and execute email and in-app messaging campaigns to nurture leads, onboard new users, and retain existing customers.
  • Customer Insights: Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to inform product and marketing decisions.
  • Content Creation: Collaborate with content and design teams to create compelling marketing materials that resonate with our target audience.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in growth marketing, NPOs, and SaaS.
  • Incentive Programs: Develop incentive programs that reward users for actions that drive growth, such as referrals, reviews, and content creation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Define and prioritize the product "growth" roadmap in collaboration with other stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Work with product & engineering teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product features and enhancements.

Examples of Success Metrics

Output:

  • Implementation of a series of A/B tests to optimize the trial sign-up process, resulting in a 20% increase in self-serve trial sign-ups.
  • Development of a referral program targeting existing users, incentivizing word-of-mouth and lowering customer acquisition costs resulting in a natural growth rate of 35%
  • Optimize the onboarding process for new trial and freemium users, incorporating automated educational emails and tutorials, reducing "live" training by 30%.

Outcomes:

  • Freemium to Paid Conversion: Develop strategies to convert freemium users to paid plans, such as highlighting premium features or offering time-limited discounts.
  • Viral Loops: Implement viral loops within the product that encourage users to share and invite others, leveraging network effects for growth.
  • Revenue Growth: Improve average revenue per user (ARPU) through upsell strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, strategy, business management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a related role within the startup space.
  • Portfolio showcasing successful growth implementations and interventions.
  • Expertise in marketing, online strategies, user experience, and business development.
  • Strong analytical skills, including A/B testing, web metrics, and sales metrics.
  • Proficiency in web optimization, sales generation, conversion analysis, and creating sales funnels.
  • Knowledge of various growth-hacking tools, automation, and campaign monitoring platforms.
  • Creative, problem-solving, and results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and design skills.
  • Experience in a startup or small company environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Experience using Heap (or similar solutions) and Intercom
  • Familiarity with marketing automation tools and CRM systems, HubSpot certification a plus.
  • Experience with subscription-based SaaS revenue models and product-led growth environments.
  • Experience serving on a nonprofit board.
