Job Description: An Airport Lanes Bartender is professional and friendly. Bartenders verify the identification and age of Guests and mix/serve alcoholic beverages. They are responsible for the cleanliness of the front/back of the bar and all glasses and utensils. Bartenders accept payment from guests and balance cash receipts to record sales. A quality Bartender is knowledgeable about mixology and can mix traditional drinks as well as crafting creative cocktails. Boardwalk Bowl Bartenders increase Guest retention and loyalty by mixing and serving quality cocktails with impeccable Guest service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Check identification of Guests for legal age verification in conjunction with alcohol purchases.
· Mix traditional and creative cocktails for Guests and to fill server orders.
· Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the Point of Sale (POS) system, accept payment and provide accurate change and receipt in a timely manner.
· Provide a guest “chit” for each transaction.
· Clean glasses and bar utensils.
· Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits.
· Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift.
· Maintain thorough knowledge of all food and bar menus and remain proactive in staying current on all new menu items and specials.
· Assist in clearing and preparing bar and tables for new Guests in a timely manner.
· Maintain above standard level of cleanliness in assigned work area and side stations throughout shift (sweep, mop, clean tables etc.).
· Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
· Ensures alcohol awareness standards and controls in the bars and controls product costs.
· Promote the entertainment options of the venue.
· Ensure all equipment is in complete working order. Report any issues to Management immediately.
· Report all safety concerns to Management immediately.
· Complete all assigned side work, including on-going side work and specific cleaning assignments.

Job Requirements:
Skills/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year bartending experience in high-volume environment.
· Be a team player with the willingness and ability to assist as needed in other departments.
- Basic math and computer skills
- Thorough knowledge of West Virginia applicable laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails and
- Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
- Impeccable Guest service and social perceptiveness and
- Ability to evaluate Guest satisfaction and responsiveness.
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol
- Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments.
- Strong task and time management abilities.
Job Activities:
· Mixes and prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for Guests and for Servers.
· Provides impeccable Guest service, beginning with acknowledging and welcoming Guests
· Employs Team Service to ensure ALL Guests are receiving great service.
· Creates a fun experience for Guests and establish a “regular Guest” rapport, while maintaining professional behavior.
· Enhances Guest experience by offering cocktail recommendations based on Guest tastes and preferences and informing Guests of other attractions and upcoming events and specials.
· Delivers beverages and food in a timely manner and ensure that all beverages and food are maintaining exceptional standards of quality and freshness.
· Continues to follow service guidelines during busy and distracting periods.
· Uses empowerment to handle Guest concerns and dissatisfaction ensure and resolution by following up with the Guest.
· Is proactive in identifying and assisting Guests who may need assistance.
· Maintain above average concern for both personal and professional cleanliness and hygiene.
Reporting Relationship:
· Reports to Bar/Restaurant Manager
Working Conditions:
- Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8-hour shifts
- Must be able to speak, read and comprehend English.
- Must have close and distant vision.
- Frequent walking, standing and moving between tight spaces.
- Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
- Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly.
