Driller Helper

Boart Longyear is looking to hire Assistant Drillers to join the team.

You will be working on a team of Assistant Drillers and a Drill Lead moving supplies and materials to and from drill sites, mixing drilling fluids, setting up and tearing down drills. The candidate will also be responsible for general condition and obtaining optimum life out of all site equipment and tools. You must be responsible for keeping sample bags in numeric order according to designated footages.

Your safety gear and training is fully paid for.

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17-$19/hr

Schedule: Depends on job. Schedules can be 7 days off with 10 days on, 10 days off with 20 days on, etc. Steady work.

Job Responsibilities

Provide semi-skilled labor intensive assistance for drilling crews. This could include the operation of various types of equipment/machinery, including:

• Hauling supplies to and from the drill site
• Manual material handling
• Mixing drilling fluids
• Assisting the driller in the drilling processes

Qualifications

• Be willing to complete a background and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license. A CDL is a plus
• Be willing to be gone weeks at a time and work in remote locations
• Be able and willing to work 10-12 hours a day
• Willing to work outside in different weather conditions

Education and Experience:

Typically requires a High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
