Responsibilities

Position Overview:
This role will direct a team of project managers that provide expertise and PM capabilities for product
development initiatives (Innovation,Line extensions, Cost out, Product Specifications Management). Product
innovation and development are critical processes at BEF, and a leader with proven experience in the food
manufacturing or consumer products industry is desired for this role. In addition to product development, the
BEF PMO supports strategic projects and programs involving Supply Chain, and Operations related initiatives. As
such, the successful candidate will also be well versed with industry adopted best practices and methodologies,
such as waterfall, agile, PLM, and stage gate processes. This individual will develop and maintain standardized
project tools and artifacts to be used across the company. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with
internal business leaders across BEF is key, as it is critical for the PMO to partner with all departments to
understand and deliver on project requirements and deliverables.


Accountabilities:
* Directs and owns all PMO team functions performed within Innovation, Cost Out and strategic
technical initiatives across the BEF organization.
* Leads planning and development activities within the PMO using industry adopted best practices and
standards.


Position Description:
* Provides guidance, leadership and mentoring to a team of Project Managers. Supports and develops the
functional and process expertise needed to meet long-term business needs. Manages staff by reviewing,
approving, and allocating work and project assignments.
* Identifies and documents processes, standards, tools and techniques to be used across the PMO team
and other departments.
* Develops and manages resource planning and management capability.
* Ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget and with quality.
* Assesses and manages project and program risks and escalates issues as appropriate.
* Compiles information and reports that facilitate verbal and written status updates.
* Provides periodic updates to leadership on project status.
* Provides thought leadership within PMO and business strategy.
* Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with leaders and managers across all departments
within BEF.
* Partners with Human Resources to attract, develop and retain high-caliber PMO talent that creates a
culture of high performance and delivers superior results.
* Fosters a continuous improvement and inclusive approach.
* All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

* Masters' or Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Program Management or related field
* PMP certification preferred
* Minimum of ten years relevant experience in Business Project Management, Enterprise IT Project
Management or Innovation Project Management
* Minimum of five years experience leading a PMO team
* Experience delivering large-scale, business integration and or enterprise level projects
* Experience developing enterprise tools and processes
* Managing projects and products in the consumer packaged goods or food and beverage industry will be
preferred
* Experience mentoring and leading teams
* Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with company leaders, peers, and partners.
* Strong interpersonal skills - active listening; emotional intelligence; excellent negotiating and influencing
skills at all internal and external levels.
* Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimal direction. Must be a self-motivated
self-starter.
* Strong organizational skills - pays attention to details and is able to document and prioritize effectively.
* Continuous learner - ability to apply learnings from previous experiences to improve future outcomes.
* Must possess the ability to consistently maintain external and internal confidentiality.
* Proficient with one or more PPM tools and platforms.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Outlook, Teams).
