Responsibilities:
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
- Hire, train and monitor the performance of all parts department staff.
- Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department.
- Maintains inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
- Creates pricing guidelines for customer categories that simultaneously generates profit and creates customer loyalty
- Monitors and adjusts inventory
- Guarantees all parts are properly tagged
- Supervises stock order procedures
- Creates and enforces a policy for special orders
- Monthly analysis to maintain profit
- Works closely with service manager and body shop manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts needed
- Provides technical assistance when necessary
- Creates and monitors reporting such as lost sales, sales productivity, etc.
- Directs outside parts and counter sales efforts
- Develops and enforces guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
- Enforces safety requirements
- Maintains professional appearance.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in service management
- Automotive technical knowledge
- Ability to manage others
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
