Food and Beverage Server- The Ooltewah Club

The Ooltewah Club, located in Ooltewah, Tennessee, and managed by Bobby Jones Links, is hiring for Food and Beverage Servers. The Ooltewah Club offers year-round outdoor activities and family fun, featuring an 18 hole championship course, a full driving range, a short game facility, a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, two lighted tennis courts, and four lighted pickleball courts. The club debuted a newly decorated clubhouse in 2019, which anchors the 150 acre property located in a very high growth area of Chattanooga.

Responsibilities of the Food and Beverage Server at The Ooltewah Club include:

• Utilizes the point of sales system and places orders with the kitchen.
• Fills beverages, mentions daily specials, and answers any questions a guest may have.
• Suggests desserts, coffee, or after-dinner drinks.
• Attends all pre-meal meetings conducted by the Food and Beverage Manager or Executive Chef.
• Advises supervisor of any member complaints.
• Is responsible for cash handling and the accuracy of receipts at day’s end.
• Incorporates safe work practices and safe food handling standards.
• Completes side-work.
• Understands the basics of theft, waste, and pricing of food and beverage inventory items.

Required Skills

• The ability to sell (and upsell) food and beverage to guests by being cordial, helpful, and sincere.
• Strong multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of mixology, wine, and beer.
• Ability to enforce company policies and laws and regulations regarding guest/member consumption of alcohol.
• Evaluation of customer satisfaction and responsiveness.

• Walk, sit, stand for long periods of time, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.
