The Housekeeper ensures the highest standards in sanitation, safety, comfort, and aesthetics. This position reports to the club General Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Memorize and live by Bobby Jones Links’ Core Purpose and Core Values.
- Know Bobby Jones Links’ 17 Service Standards. These are the rules by which we serve.
- Always have your Bobby Jones Links Associate Card with you. It is part of your uniform.
- Abide by the employment rules in Bobby Jones Links Associate Handbook.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Housekeeper’s overarching responsibility is to provide a clean facility for the members and guests. This is the top priority over all others.
- Maintains a financial dialogue with the club General Manager about housekeeping and clubhouse supplies, paper products, linens, etc.
- Ensures the club’s presentation and appearance is always clean, pleasing to the eye, and impeccable in its presentation, following the guidelines as set forth and measured in the Bobby Jones Links Operational Audit.
- Works closely with the various Department Heads to understand the event schedule. This will ensure that areas of high traffic during events will be cleaned prior to the event.
- Low dust and high dusts.
- Cleans bathrooms.
- Maintain sanitation standards as mandated.
- Vacuums carpets and mops floors.
- Sweeps patio areas and dusts patio furniture.
- Empties all wastebaskets and ashtrays.
- Cleans and polishes brass.
- Washes inside and outside of windows.
- Reports any damage to the General Manager.
- Replaces or gets assistance replacing burned out bulbs.
- Attempts to repair any plumbing problems.
- Launders any linen as requested by departments.
- Ensures all members and guests receive the highest level of service.
- Does whatever it takes to make our clients happy.
- Practices management by walking around – touring the property daily to ensure it is operating according to Bobby Jones Link's standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS
The Housekeeper of a Bobby Jones Links club must have the following skills:

- Must have a thorough working knowledge of all departments of a club’s operation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
- Walk, sit, stand for long periods of time, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly; up to 50 lbs. occasionally and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects.

- Be exposed to outside weather conditions including temperatures over 90 and below 40 degrees.
- Indoor conditions that may be very hot or cold.
