Job Description: Server at BoCaphe Restaurant
BoCaphe, an upscale Vietnamese restaurant located in the Chelsea district of New York City, is seeking an experienced server to join our team. As a server at BoCaphe, you will be responsible for providing guests with a first-class dining experience by offering exceptional service and upselling our menu items.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival
- Present menu and answer questions regarding menu items
- Provide recommendations and make suggestions to guests
- Take drink and food orders and ensure accuracy of the orders
- Use the POS System TOAST
- Communicate orders with kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals
- Monitor guests’ dining experience and ensure satisfaction
- Handle guest requests and concerns in a professional and tactful manner
- Upsell menu items and offer daily specials
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional guest service
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant serving experience
- Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine and menu items
- Knowledge of wines, beer, and cocktails
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
