What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plant Controller position at Bocar US?
Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller. The purpose of the job is to plan and manage the financial resources of the Plant, ensure the achievement of financial targets as set by the Plant Manager and advise all areas within the Plant to enhance their financial performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the creation of the Annual Budget and Quarterly Financial Forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis.
- Adhere to monthly closing schedule.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Supervision of AR, AP and General Accounting work performed by the Shared Services Center.
- Product Profitability and Business Case Analysis and follow-up.
- Manage Tax and State/Local incentives compliance.
- Manage and preform Annual Financial audits.
- Manage the Key metrics including but not limited to: Savings, Manufacturing Cost, Gross Margin, EBIT, Product Profitability and Cash Flow.
REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or another business-related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in Controller position and in automotive.
- Experience managing a team of accounting/finance professionals
- CPA and CMA Certification Preferred
- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to compile data & create reports in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
