Accounting Specialist

We are looking for an accounting professional with the following character attributes to join our dynamic team:

Attributes:

• Ability to communicate and deal with the public / clientele to ensure customer satisfaction

• Able to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional and trustworthy manner
• Able to prioritize and manage time appropriately to meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently
• Able to work independently as well as work with other team members to achieve common organizational goals

• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to travel (minimal)

Experience & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and tax return preparation
• Potential CPA candidate
• Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Products, especially Outlook, Word & Excel
• QuickBooks / Sage (formerly Peachtree) software knowledge a plus
• Tax return preparation experience for business and individuals required

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Location:

• Moss Bluff, Louisiana (main office) and DeRidder (secondary office)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Physical Setting:

• Office

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Accounting: 1 year
• Tax Returns: 1 year minimum
• Microsoft Excel: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPA (Preferred)
