The Office Administrator is responsible for the plant's administrative, financial, and human resources functions. In this role, you will manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines in a busy plant office. You will participate as a business partner providing guidance and direction to the plant management team in accounting, finance, and human resources. In addition, you will:
- Responsible for accounts payable and receivable – timely and accurate processing
- Provides support to the General Manager
- Responsible for payroll including compiling, checking, and transmitting to SSC, as well as all related recordkeeping
- Responsible for all plant Human Resources duties; new hires, termination, benefits, worker’s compensation, employee inquiries, etc.
- Promotes and practices safety and good housekeeping
- Answer telephones, process mail, and lead day-to-day management of the office
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent, two-year associate degree preferred
- Experience Necessary: Minimum two to five years of general office and accounting experience
- Familiar with applicable employment laws
- Although directly reporting to the General Manager must be comfortable functioning in a matrix organization with strong dotted line reporting to finance and HR
- Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing in English
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.

- Must be able to work in a sitting position for extended periods (at desk, while driving, and/or on airplane travel) in an office/industrial environment
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, and reach to perform functions
- Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, and humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone
