The Vice President for North America S3P is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to all aspects of sales and operations. The Vice President will have focus on top line growth, contribute to business planning; formulate capital expenditure needs; implement lean processes into all aspects of the operations; and maintain best practices in all aspects of operations. We are looking for a Vice President with strong experience in sales to tier 1 & 2 within the automotive, medical or machine manufacturing market preferably in metal components. Experience in managing multiple plants in North America. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of S3P, this position will have responsibility for the existing plants in London OH and Mooresville NC.
Major Responsibilities:
- Actively drive a 5S and safety culture focused on operations leadership and employee involvement that results in world-class safety rates throughout the organization.
- Create and implement forward-thinking improvements in customer satisfaction by providing on-time delivery, shorter lead times, and quality services. Communicate best practices between sales, engineering, and operations to improve response times.
- Proactively drive top line sales growth, focusing on both new programs & projects and existing customer platforms. Capture new opportunities and recapture lost business. Build the sales model to support expanding marketplace needs
- Retain, recruit, and develop strong bench strength to meet the future needs of the company including succession candidates for the top positions.
- Lead with a strong top-line mentality coupled with an emphasis on teamwork and communication at all levels. Work with the leadership team to drive revenue growth, reduce costs, and deliver product in a timely manner.
- Maintain and develop a customer focused mentality throughout the organization, interacting with customers and creating a culture that is focused on exceeding customer expectations.
- Full P&L responsible for the existing two sites in London OH and Mooresville NC.
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
- Education – Related Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten years of sales and marketing experience in the machine manufacturing or metal industry experience preferred or equivalent
- Minimum of ten years of experience running a team in North America including strategic marketing, business development, key account management, pricing, sales/marketing excellence and sales team capability development
- Minimum of ten to fifteen years of proven sales records
- Experience managing multiple sites strongly preferred
- Must be able to optimize the sales process and improve the time-to-market, for delivering high double digits annual top line growth
- A strong knowledge of technological concepts and high quality metal services across multiple products in the machine manufacturing or metal industry markets
- A sound understanding of the financial issues associated with running a multi-facility business
- The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, capital project analysis, project management, and continuous improvement
- Must be able to travel at least 60% of the time national and international while based out of our Mooresville, NC facility
