What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Test Analyst position at Boecore?
Boecore is looking for a System Test Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO at Schriever Space Force Base who will support the C2BMC National Team (NT) in support of analysis of missile tracking and models in the test bed. This individual will be a part of a focused technical team verifying and validating metrics, statistics and descriptive analysis of test data from Missile Defense Systems in development in support of national security. The candidate will perform research and analysis to identify meaningful metrics, patterns and trends from the test datasets, and use statistical methods to validate or reject hypotheses about the data. Techniques may include visualization, simulation, and system modeling to achieve the desired analysis results. The candidate should possess technical skills to assist in the development of software tools to evaluate software, algorithms and processes used to build the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) element of the Missile Defense System (MDS). The candidate should be able to assist test tool analysts with technical troubleshooting and analysis of test traceability. They should be able to develop straightforward solutions to technical problems discovered and offer actionable insights to C2BMC decision makers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Arts in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 9 years experience in message-based analysis of complex systems, Object oriented coding skills (i.e. Python, Java, etc), the Linux environment, using and maintaining relational databases, the use of software test and analysis tools
- DoD Secret Level Clearance
- Security Certification
- Candidate is expected to travel as needed (less than 10%) but the majority of work will be conducted at Schriever SFB
- Some non-standard work hours are possible intermittently
- Other responsibilities include:
- Performing analysis of test event data and coordinating observations and resolutions across various Development and Test teams within C2BMC
- Coordination with the Missile Defense Agency customer
- Assist with the planning, scheduling and development of verification analysis tools
- Support the coordination, development and maintenance of analysis and test tracking tools
- Ensure proper backup/archiving of test products and analysis datasets (DM)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Highly desirable that the candidate have experience with message-based analysis and MDS elements or components, to include operational systems (e.g., Aegis, Patriot, GMD, THAAD, SBX) in either a test or operational environment
- Python programming experience
- Bash or similar scripting experience
- Strong sense of how data "tells a story"
- Use of spreadsheets for data analysis and associated tools
- Experience in manipulation of large data sets
- Development of software test and analysis tools
- Development and automation of data management processes and tools
- Strong teamwork skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Salary Range- $104,000 - $145,000
