The BECU Summer Intern Program gives students an opportunity to see how we live our purpose every day through ensuring our members and their interests are at the core of everything we do. During the 12 week internship, students own key projects that deliver real outcomes for our members. They also have exclusive opportunities to meet with executive leaders throughout the summer with the opportunity to share feedback that makes a difference in our members’ lives. Unique Volunteer opportunities are provided during the summer, providing interns with an opportunity to learn how BECU helps give back to the communities that we serve.
What You Will Be Doing
The marketing intern will provide support for members of the Marketing Strategy team. This opportunity would help with the day-to-day coordination of assigned marketing projects, campaigns and materials from development through delivery in coordination with members of the marketing team.
- Support the Credit Union's annual marketing plan by implementing and completing projects as assigned
- Assist members of the Marketing team with project development and deployment of marketing strategies and tactics
- Learn the fundamentals of project management including scheduling/meeting coordination, stakeholder/vendor communication, building project plans, timelines and budget tracking
Qualifications
- Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or Business degrees preferred, others may be considered
- Skills that may be helpful: Studies or previous experience in Marketing, Advertising, Project Management, Microsoft Office
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0+ required
- Proven leadership skills either on or off campus preferred
- Community involvement/volunteerism preferred
- Participation in extracurricular activities preferred
- Able to commit to a 12-week program throughout summer
- Strong written communication skills
