Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Quality Manager to join the Quality Core – STL team in Berkeley, MO.
The selected candidate will lead and oversee Quality Engineering, Quality Specialist, and Quality Assurance teammates in support of 777X and BDS Legacy Composites. Position will also lead STL Site Digital Inspection Services support (primarily 777X Assembly and Composite products).
Has technical acumen in Composite manufacturing, process specifications (BCA and BDS), GD&T, NCQA, digital inspection, Root Cause Corrective Action, SPC, PDCA fundamentals, data analytics, Six Sigma basics, application of lean principles, and keen focus on continuous process improvement.
Leader will be people focused to mentor, hone, and develop highly skilled technical and quality professionals. Ability to effectively communicate the QMS and Composite Center Quality Health with senior program leaders and stakeholders. Lead the composite center CAPA, QLR and operational elements of the Boeing Production System.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
1 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality
1 years of experience communicating and/or coaching operators, peers and leadership on various aspects of a quality system (associated with engineering, operations, or quality)
1 years of experience leading production system and/or process improvements (i.e. lean, Boeing production system, improve job practices, techniques, and standards)
1 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):
Leadership experience with technical employees
1 years of experience with precision measurement equipment

Summary pay range: $108,800 – $147,200
