Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is seeking motivated and a talented Technical Project Management Specialist to join the Laser and Electro-optical Systems (LEOS) Project Management Team in Albuquerque, NM.
LEOS is a dynamic and growing organization with a leadership team focused on attracting and developing top talent in support of critical missions for National Defense and Strategic Deterrence. The programs that we support in Albuquerque include Tanker, Space Launch System (SLS), Commercial Crew and Proprietary Programs supporting a variety of customers.
This position will join our team as a project manager for small, medium, and large projects; providing cost, schedule, and technical management; coordinating with our customers and external suppliers; and leading a multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, IT, facilities, and logistics to achieve program goals.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management for hardware/software development projects, from inception through delivery
Develop and maintain Earned Value baselines and status to plan
Define and coordinate required resources to build cross functional teams necessary to execute system design, development, procurement, build and test, and delivery to programs
Develop and maintain statement of work (SOW) for units procured by subcontract and coordinate related make/buy assessments
Perform unit sell-off, project close-out, and document lessons learned for incorporation into future project plans and unit hardware roadmaps
Develop technical and cost responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
10 years of experience directing and executing projects in accordance with stakeholder objectives and schedules
10 years of experience managing project schedules and managing programs and projects
10 years of experience analyzing data, creating reports, and presenting results
10 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
10 years of experience directly interfacing with customers
Experience in requirements development, verification, validation, risk, issues and opportunities management
Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules, including the use of project management tools and software such as MS Project, Milestones, Open Plan Professional, etc
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical major

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.
