The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Ergonomist to join the team in Everett, WA.

The 767 Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team is looking for an expert ergonomist to provide support to the Boeing Renton site's production programs and tenants. This position is encouraged to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify mitigations to existing and future ergonomics risks in the production and office environments. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance in the field of ergonomics and human factors and provide mentorship and cultural influence through the site and airplane program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and healthy work environment

  • Develops and leads training and instructions

  • Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies

  • Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues

  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions

  • Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5 years of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • 5 years of experience applying ergonomic principles and best practices to support the development, implementation and maintenance of occupational health and safety programs

  • 5 years of experience of ergonomics and human factors in an industrial environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Certified Professional Ergonomics (CPE)

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience with ergonomic risk assessment tools

  • Experience in office ergonomics

  • Experience in shop/industrial ergonomics

  • Experience in engineering tools and technological innovations

  • Experience with policies and systems

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD 4 years' related work experience, Master 7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
