Position Responsibilities
Position responsibilities will vary by role. But as a general ideal of position responsibilities, it could include:
- Works with customers to develop and document electronic and electrical system requirements.
- Analyzes and translates requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
- Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
- Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
- Supports fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
- Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
These positions are expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Some worksites such as Kent, Seal Beach, El Segundo, Kennedy Space Center participate in Boeing’s optional 9/80 schedule rotation. 9/80 is a rotation in which employees can work 9 hour shifts, 8 days per pay period (bi-weekly) and receive every other Friday off.
Some positions may require travel. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.
This position requires an active Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Top Secret or Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) -OR- a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
NASA Access
Some positions are located at a site that may require the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility. As such, NASA positions are NASA safety-sensitive and are subject to random drug and alcohol testing. NASA Access is site specific and could include some listed locations.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
- One or more of the following: A Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) and agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program, a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months and/or a U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Systems Engineering (Guideline Below)
- Level 1: Less than 1 year
- Level 2: 1 years
- Level 3: 3 years
- Experience working with space programs and/or aerospace programs
- Professional communication skills with aptitude or experience creating and presenting technical presentations to various groups of people
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
