The Boeing Company is actively seeking a Distributed Systems Engineering Manager (Level L) to join the Space Launch System (SLS) engineering management team in support of NASA’s Artemis program. We are looking for diverse candidates that can lead others with a passion for Human Space Flight and that wants to be a part of these historic times of returning humans back to the moon and beyond! This position can be located in New Orleans, LA or Kennedy Space Center, FL.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the SLS Core Stage Distributed Systems team (Wire Harness, Fairings, Umbilical Panels, etc).
Ensure on-time engineering releases and FTQ .
Support production operations in New Orleans and Launch activities at KSC.
Support design reviews, analyses and component testing to ensure delivery of products meet or exceed customer requirements.
Support troubleshooting of delivered products, production mishaps and In-Flight anomalies.
Participate in verification closure and design certification.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
3 years of experience in leading and managing multi-skilled engineers.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in Human Space Flight programs.
Experience in electrical wire harness design.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
Shift:
This is a 1st shift position.

Summary pay range: $151,300 – $204,700
