Position
In our Deli we provide fresh, ready-to-eat food for our customers such as sandwiches and burritos. The Deli includes a pizza station, specialty meat and cheese department, coffee bar and bakery. Each associate is trained on one station at a time with the goal that associates become proficient and able to rotate throughout all the stations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare items on daily menu; provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to all customers
- Assist customers with product selections by answering questions regarding preparation and ingredients
- Follow department procedures for packaging, weighing, and pricing deli items for customers
- Ensure job specific tasks are being performed within the applicable rules and regulations for the department. This includes, but is not limited to, time and temperature controls, contamination controls and internal production dating
- Maintain a working knowledge of the menu, vendors, and products in the Deli
- Exhibit high standard of ethics, honesty, trust, accountability, and respect
- Maintain line cleanliness and sanitation (cutting boards, floor, trash, slicer, and walk-in areas)
- Prioritize time to ensure that daily tasks, stocking and cleaning are handled efficiently
- Adhere to all Idaho laws regarding food safety and sanitation

Requirements
- Experience in a deli or restaurant preferred
- Committed to providing excellent customer service
- Must possess a great attitude, solid work ethic
- Food safety certified by the State strongly preferred
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
- Comprehend simple instructions, recipes, and training materials
