About Oakville Grocery Food Trucks: The Oakville Grocery Food Truck Prepared Foods Associate will provide customers with excellent provisions and products as part of the Oakville Grocery Food Truck(s) program in Napa. The Prepared Foods Associate- Food Trucks should be a passionate about artisan, gourmet culinary products. The ideal candidate desires to work as part of a team, reporting to the Culinary Manager- Food Trucks, striving to increase sales through consistency, innovation, and excellence. The wide variety of duties involved requires flexibility, organization, and skills for properly handling cash and credit card transactions.
The Prepared Foods Associate promotes the style, ideals, mission, and vision of the Oakville Grocery brand through attitude and demeanor and shares his/her passion and knowledge for gourmet items with guests.
Essential Functions:
Prepare meal ingredients, simple dishes, condiments, and other items as directed by the Culinary Manager.
Deliver excellent guest experiences that create long-term brand loyalty.
Maintains a positive and motivated attitude when working with customers, fellow employees, and especially during high stress situations. Shows respect for others.
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to drive the Food Truck.
Shares ideas and customer feedback for menu offering that achieve core values of utilizing all nature, organic (wherever possible), bio-dynamic (wherever possible) and local ingredients.
Follow Food Truck SOPs and operating systems to achieve a Speed of Service (SOS) metrics.
Ensure teams follow and comply with established procedures, health, and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Maintains a clean and well-sanitized workstation. Keeps floors, counters, and equipment clean during and after the shift. Maintains a clean uniform during a shift by using extra precautions, avoiding soiled areas, and submitting for cleaning services.
Arrives to work on time for scheduled shift, positive, prepared, and in full uniform.
Brings a full understanding of the tasks required for the position. Asks questions whenever there is uncertainty regarding a task.
Accomplishes tasks efficiently. Able to complete tasks quicker as experience builds. Proactive at finding new tasks as other tasks are completed, operating with little management oversight. Goes above and beyond what is expected as an employee.
Attends tastings, seminars, and other team events as needed.
Always practices complete customer service by immediately greeting and welcoming customers, constantly anticipating and graciously assisting with customer needs, saying thank you, good-bye, and inviting customers back.
Prepares meals and other food, ingredients, and other medium as directed by the Culinary Manager.
Additional Functions:
Comply with all company safety policies, practices, and procedures. Participate in safety training and report all unsafe conditions or work practices.
Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed.
Works quickly and efficiently and well as part of a team, maintaining personal hygiene.

Education, Experience, Certificates, Licenses:
Valid or ability to obtain Food Handler card.
Current, valid Driver’s License, insurable driving record, and proof of current automobile insurance required.
Physical Requirement/Work Environment
Indoor/Outdoors. Moderate noise levels typical of public space: music sound system, public conversations, telephones/cell phones, large groups.
Periods required with changing conditions. Short periods outdoors while conducting business moving between buildings. Moderate noise levels typical of public space: music sound system, public conversations, telephones/cell phones, large groups.
Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours.
Moderate physical activity performing occasional somewhat strenuous activities including standing, walking, climbing, reaching, and carrying.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach, handle items, and work with the fingers. Requires lifting and moving objects up to 40 lbs. in weight.
Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment.
Schedule and Travel Requirements
Variable schedule; may require weekends, periodic evenings, and/or periodic or seasonal overtime.
Travel around the Napa Valley and surrounding areas in the Food Truck.
