What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Director position at Bojangles?
We are an independently owned and operated company with Bojangles'.
Our Area Director oversees a group of Bojangles’ restaurants and is responsible for the operations and development of the management teams within the restaurants. S/He will be a role model displaying our vision of servant leadership while demonstrating daily our core values – Hard Work, Teamwork, Harmony, Listen and Respect. Our Area Director provides servant leadership and direction toward achievement of the Company’s goals for sales, profit and growth.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Disseminates and enforces Company Operations standards that ensure the highest levels of Quality, Service and Cleanliness.
- Reviews and monitors financial and operating performance of the restaurants; develops and implements action plans to correct inadequate performance.
- Interviews and hires quality applicants for management positions; coaches and develops the operational, managerial and leadership skills of Store Managers (Unit Directors).
- Supports and executes the Company’s training programs and materials; involved in the development of Team Members; identifies candidates for Assistant Unit Director and Shift Manager Positions.
- Ensures compliance of all Human Resource/Personnel laws including Wage and Hour, EEO and OSHA. Responds to all employee related complaints on a timely basis.
- Executes current operating objectives; identifies and implements sales building strategies for each restaurant supervised.
- Ensures that established employee turnover, recruitment, staffing and other human resource goals are achieved.
- Directs personnel in the development and implementation of local store marketing activities.
- Directly supervises 5 to 8 Unit Directors.
- Indirectly supervises Assistant Unit Directors and hourly staff for the designated restaurants.
