An Area Director (AD) oversees a group of Bojangles restaurants and is responsible for the operations and development of the management teams within their designated restaurants. The AD is responsible for the direct supervision of multiple General Managers and the indirect supervision of Assistant Managers and hourly team members for each of their designated restaurants. This position reports to the Regional Director of Operations.
The AD is a servant leader, motivator, and teacher/coach that provides direction toward the achievement of the Company’s goals for People, Performance, and Profit.

Requirements of the Job
Job Duties
Recruits, interviews, and hires quality applicants for management positions; coaches and develops the operational, managerial, and leadership skills of General Managers.
Reviews and monitors the financial and operating performance of the restaurants (a strong understanding of P&L including food cost and labor); develops and implements action plans to correct inadequate performance.
Disseminates and enforces Company Operations standards and operational plans that ensure the highest levels of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
Supports and executes the Company’s training programs and materials; involved in the development of team members; identifies candidates for Assistant General Manager and Shift Manager Positions.
Ensures compliance with all Human Resource/Personnel laws including Wage and Hour, EEO, and OSHA. Responds to all employee-related complaints on a timely basis.
Executes current operating objectives; identifies and implements sales-building strategies for each restaurant supervised; directs teams in the development and implementation of local store marketing activities.
Ensures that established employee turnover, recruitment, staffing, and other human resource goals are achieved.

Work Experience and Requirements
Qualifications
7-8 years prior management experience, 3-4 years multi-unit experience
Ability to work 50 hours per week
Previous experience recruiting, hiring, training, and developing individuals and teams
18 years or older
Able to read, write, and speak English
Must possess a valid driver’s license
Education
High School Diploma/Equivalent; Certifications
BA Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred
Skills and Knowledge
Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook – intermediate or above proficiency
Preferred experience using Labor Systems, Human Resources Systems, Learning Management Systems, Applicant Tracking System, and other restaurant specific systems
