Video Shooter & Editor

Boll & Branch is seeking an experienced and innovative Video Shooter & Editor to join our in-house Creative Team. As the Video Shooter & Editor, you will support production by capturing and editing video content across campaigns, product, and editorial. You craft compelling visual narratives that distinguish our products and convey an aspirational lifestyle. You are proactive in your approach and spend time understanding our brand aesthetic and vision so you can bring the brand to life visually. You can manage multiple projects at once, while balancing attention to detail with the broader context of a project.

Responsibilities:

• Shoot and edit video and audio content ranging from, but not limited to, short-form, long-form, social series, behind the scenes (BTS), store openings, and company-wide events
• Utilize various lighting techniques on set and on location to achieve the desired visual look for the project
• Develop a detailed understanding of all Boll & Branch products and content
• Own media management and archival process
• Some domestic travel may be required for various projects (craft and process, store openings, events, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in production, shooting and editing (agency or brand experience is a plus)
• Social Media experience is a plus
• Strong technical camera operating skills (hand held, gimbal, etc.)
• Experienced in lighting multiple setups: 3-point lighting, seamless lighting, high and low key lighting, green screen
• Versed in different technologies and applications such as After Effects, stays current on emerging trends in film and video production
• Foundation in color theory or experience/interest in color grading
• Organized and manages their time effectively to meet project deadlines
• Experience working independently and with other team members to deliver projects and solve problems
• Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with short deadlines
• Clear verbal and written communicator

Technical Requirements:

• Proficient understanding of the following/industry standard cameras: iPhone, Sony A7s, Sony Fx3, Fx9, RED, etc.
• Proficient understanding of lighting equipment and how to light subject and full room
• Proficient with running audio on set – setting up boom mics and lavaliers for talent (when needed)
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro
• Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite applications, including a strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Photoshop a plus
• Familiarity with audio mixing and color grading / correction also a huge plus
• Knowledge of current social trends (Reels, Ads, TikTok)
• Must be able to report to New Providence, NJ for shoots or editing needs

The primary location for this role is New Providence, NJ. We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby all teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Wednesdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. There may be times when you’re asked to work in our Summit, NJ headquarters because it’s in the best interest of our business or your team.

The annual base salary range for this role is $75-110k. It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking.
