What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Production Planning and Analytics position at Boll & Branch?
Boll & Branch is seeking a VP, Production Planning and Analytics to lead our Sourcing and Production teams. This role is an integral part of evolving and scaling our sustainable supply chain. This function maintains a strong influence across the organization by helping to improve speed to market, drive company profitability, foster and grow our sustainable supply base, drive efficient and effective production output, maintain our premium quality standards, and diversify our product offering.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Oversee production, capacity planning, allocation, and costing
- Select, justify and position sourcing plan including factory mix, capabilities and contingency plans for optimum business
- Working with suppliers to build supply chain to support domestic and offshore production
- Lead supplier selection and price negotiation
- Optimize cost saving opportunities through global sourcing base diversification
- Lead the development of business cases and cost/benefit analysis
- Analyze global costing and work collaboratively with cross-functional partners in support of Sales/Gross Margin meeting preparation.
- Champion for all costing related system projects/enhancements (PLM) and drive process and system improvements to achieve increased organizational efficiency.
- Measure performance and delivers against quantifiable metrics, margins, etc.
- Plan and optimize capacity and global allocations based on competitive cost analysis; negotiate production capacity with factories
- Responsible for aligning forecast between Merch, planning and suppliers
- Collaborate with senior leaders to establish both short and long-term business objectives
- Perform macroeconomic analyses and identify key metrics and trends impacting sourcing and supply chain performance
- Provide various financial analysis to upper management
- Actively manage, train and mentor team members to build synergy internally and cross-functionally
- Leverage project management skills to support division president in achieving superior business results
- Collaborate with Design, PD and Merchandising teams to execute and communicate manufacturing strategies that ensure product needs and business objectives
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in home textiles
- Strong textile production background
- Strong background in capacity and contingency planning
- Proven track record reducing speed to market
- Expert in price negotiation
- Landed cost modeling experience
- Passionate about sustainable and ethical sourcing and about continuing to evolve what that means within home textiles at Boll & Branch
- Knowledgeable of country competencies and the pricing structure, costs and processes with raw material and finished goods
- Willing to travel
This primary location for this role is Summit, NJ. We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby all teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. There may be times when you’re asked to work in our New York City office because it’s in the best interest of our business or your team.
