Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at Bollinger Shipyards. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for developing, writing, and editing technical content for various publications, including reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, and instruction books.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and write high-quality technical content for various audiences
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of content
- Edit and proofread content for grammar, punctuation, and style
- Conduct research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
- Work with designers to create visually appealing and effective layouts
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience
- Experience in developing content for damage control and/or system manuals
- Ability to review and comprehend engineering drawings
- General knowledge of watercraft vessels and their installed components
Desirable Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in English or Technical Writing
- Experience with Arbortext Editor, Adobe FrameMaker, or MS Office software
Work Environment:
- Hybrid schedule available, allowing for a mix of remote and in-office work
