Experienced sushi chef
- Prepare a variety of sushi dishes according to recipes and customer preferences
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the sushi station
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any ingredient needs to the kitchen manager
Experience
- Previous experience working in a sushi restaurant, and omakase experience
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
- Familiarity with dietary department regulations and guidelines
- Ability to handle and prepare raw fish and seafood safely
- Proficiency in using various kitchen tools, including knives, slicers, and sushi rolling mats
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
