Accounts Receivable Manager - Outsourced Billing Coordinator

Overview

Beacon Solutions Group is looking for a Accounts Receivable Manager - Outsourced Billing Coordinator. This person will oversee outsourced billing engagements to health care clients including but not limited to professional, hospital, D&TC, OPWDD, OASAS, nursing home, and home health.  Work will be performed at home, client locations and regional office.  Collaborate with Team Leaders and project managers to oversee Beacon staff and client projects. Involvement in Beacon strategic and operational initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee performance and results of outsourced billing engagements including:
• Monthly monitoring of denials and accounts receivables
• Monitoring items on issue track documents and providing assistance to achieve timely resolution
• Monitoring Beacon benchmarking results
• Conduct trend analysis of benchmarks, denials and accounts receivable
• Serve as primary liaison for assigned outsourced billing clients and/or collaborate as needed with project managers serving as primary liaison
• Participate in monthly meetings with outsourced billing clients to review performance and discuss/resolve outstanding issues.  On-site meetings, may be necessary. 
• Lead monthly meetings with Beacon team assigned to each outsourced billing engagement
• Convene meetings (monthly/quarterly) with Payers and/or client and Beacon team
• Ensure completion and submission of monthly progress reports
• Complete performance coach duties for Beacon Trainer
• Collaborate with Beacon Trainer to address staff training needs including:
• Weekly status updates with Beacon trainer
• Weekly monitoring of training plan
• Weekly monitoring of real time completion of billing training checklists
• Serve as back-up for Beacon Trainer during times of absences
• Participate in Beacon strategic plan initiatives, leadership activities, marketing/sales duties, and firm responsibilities.
• Periodically complete duties associated with being an outsourced billing service provider including charge entry, payment posting, claims submission and follow up, coding and auditing. 
• Identify opportunities to improve services to individual clients and develop suggestions for adjustment of services as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills: Billing experience in either physician, hospital or nursing home environment is required.   Solid understanding of revenue cycle processes. Familiarity with payer portals including but not limited to ePACES,  FISS DDE, Connex, clearinghouses. Familiarity with multiple billing systems or ability to utilize multiple systems concurrently.   7 years billing experience.  3 years supervisory experience. Must be a self-starter who can work independently.  Proven track record in project management and daily multi-tasking. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.

Desired Skills:  10 years billing experience. 

Educational Requirements:  AS/BS Degree preferred. Billing and/or Coding certification desired.

Travel Requirements:  Must be willing to travel within New York.  Daily travel up to 50% but varies greatly.  Overnight travel occasionally required.   Reliable transportation is a must.   

Hours of Operation:

• Our office hours are  from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Our summer hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, based on Beacon Solutions client needs and project manager approval
• The ability to work additional hours during busy season is critical, but the rest of the year, flexibility is key
