Overview
The Bonadio Group is currently seeking an Assistant Controller for our Enterprise Finance Team. In conjunction with the Controller, the Assistant Controller will work with internal customers to manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level support to the Controller and operations of the Enterprise Finance Team
- Supervise, train and mentor interns and junior-level finance staff
- Assist in the month end closing process
- Assist with the preparation of internal and external financial reporting
- Assist with preparation for audits
- Timely review and approve STAR expenses, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide Ad Hoc Reporting as required
- Assist with the budgeting process
- Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementation of new processes
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics
- Prepare sales and use tax returns
- Maintain sub-ledgers
- Identify and solve discrepancies in Accounting Records
- Collaborate with Tax team to drive the Corporate Tax Preparation
- Establish and enhance relationships internally with colleagues at all levels within the organization
- Learn and develop technical, analytical, and leadership skills
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of a bachelors degree in accounting and/or finance
- A minimum of five years of experience within a high-level accounting function
- Prior management/supervisory experience
Preferred:
- A master’s degree in business administration or CPA/CMA designations
- Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
The salary range for this position is between $75,000 - $95,000 and is commensurate with experience.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
- Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
- We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however at peak times additional hours may be required
