What are the responsibilities and job description for the Expo/Food Runner position at BonChon Chicken?
Essential Duties
- Have an understanding of all menu items and how each item is properly served and/or packaged
- Plate Chicken
- Prepare runner station at "the pass" including preparation of condiments, stocking of dishes, flatware and towels
- Deliver food to guests and describe each dish
- Remove used tableware between courses and replace
- Communicate fire times to chefs and sous chefs
- Respond appropriately to guest requests
- Communicate 86'd items to serving staff
- Change trash cans and take out trash
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager
- Maintain a basic understanding of the proper steps of service required of all FOH service positions
- Sweep and Mop Restaurant
- Change beer kegs
- Demonstrate a warm and welcoming demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience preferred
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Pleasant, polite manner, and a neat and clean appearance
- Self-motivated and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
- Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)

Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour plus Tipshare from take out and Servers. (Avg $12-15 per hour with hourly)
