Position Description:
The Corporate Risk and Contract Specialist (RCS) reports to the Corporate Risk and Contract Manager (RCM) and will be based either in the Boston Metropolitan or New York Metropolitan areas. In addition, the RCS provides regular support and assistance to the Chief Risk & Legal Officer and General Counsel.
Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversight and administration of Global Subcontract/subcontracting process and all related requirements
- Support to the risk and legal and project teams in the contract negotiation and revision process related to all contracts and agreements and facilitates communications and negotiations with subcontractor, vendors and business partners related to same
- Support and maintenance of all company standard contracting forms, contract libraries, questionnaires and policies and procedures and related databases
- Reporting, management and tracking of insurance claims.
- Maintenance and support of the corporate Subcontractor Prequalification Process, weekly Subcontractor Prequalification reporting, including working with vendors and business partners, pre-construction and construction operations teams to identify and establish subcontractors for prequalification
- Maintenance and organization of corporate records and filings, licenses, registrations, leases, union agreements and related corporate requirements
- Support of corporate risk management program, including review and assessment of subcontractor and vendor insurance documentation and management of corporate certificate tracking and surety programs and coordination with corporate brokerage teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years construction industry or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
- Exercises independent judgement and is comfortable working independently
- Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask while working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive working relationships
- A robust knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe products
