Production Lead CTL

Overview:

The Lead Production Associate is responsible for assisting with maintaining production needs in the manufacturing plant. The associate may be assigned to numerous roles in the facility including physical assembly of gearboxes, and picking and pulling material for assembly builders and/or various Quality Inspection duties. The associate must work in team environment and be a self-motivator with high integrity and meet required Quality standards in production. The associate must be diligent with filling out clear and concise information on paperwork and Quality records.

Responsibilities:

• Roles at this level are responsible for carrying out a specific range of clearly defined assembly/ Machining tasks and maintenance services, within standard operating procedures, appropriate quality and time constraints. Individuals need to operate as a reliable team member, carrying out assigned tasks and knowing when to request help or advice. Expertise is usually gained on the job, although some formal training may be required.
• Operate on equipment and machinery complying with service, Health & Safety standards and administrative policies and procedures to ensure that work is carried out safely and consistently
• Carry out a specific range of clearly defined assembly tasks in line with clearly defined written and verbal instructions to ensure allocated work tasks are completed correctly and on time
• Identify and report when there are problems with parts or processes so that action can be taken
• Manage execution of both maintenance services and troubleshooting, on the basis of maintenance policy and production strategy
• Clearly communicate messages of importance to colleagues to ensure that they have access to the information they require
• Undertake training and development activity in line with the development plan agreed with line manager, to complete the relevant training and development program within the agreed timescales

• Previous experience in production, manufacturing or other related fields
• Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
• Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Ability to handle physical workload

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Basic reading, writing and math skills
• Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Highly motivated & energetic with a strong work ethic
• Basic knowledge and use of computers
• Ability to handle and lift 50 pounds maximum; bending and stretching
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet multiple deadlines
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good verbal communication skills
• Good decision making
