DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

Sales and Marketing is responsible for the planning, marketing, sales, and distribution of produce grown by Bonita Packing Co. The department is segmented into 4 areas, Product Management/Purchasing (field facing, allocation of SKU, flow management, pricing), Account Management, Account Specialist (assist Account Managers), and Marketing (not consumer but customer driven marketing).

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides analytics for a group of accounts comprised of retailers and wholesalers. The Account Analyst must be able to understand the accounts, provide pertinent information to help the account manager in their duties. It is important that we use relationship skills and fact-based data to achieve these goals. The basis of this job is to provide account managers with information (data) while continuing to support the day-to-day activities of the account.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide analytics and day-to-day upkeep of assigned accounts. 
  • Work collaboratively with other accounting officers within the organization. 
  • Utilize math skills to analyze key financial and sales data. 
  • Prepare reports on a determined schedule. 
  • Present reports and estimates to decision makers (account manager) within the organization. 
  • Utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding. 
  • Research current economic and financial outlook. 
  • Provide solutions to accounting issues as they arise. 
  • Investigate and provide feedback on accounting irregularities. 
  • Following up with daily inventory and trucking demands. 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  
  Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or other related fields) with 3 – 5 years previous Sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and as a part of a collaborative team. Ability to prioritize deadlines & projects, including coordinating the efforts of multiple contributors, and establish time frames for completion of projects and assignments.
  • Willingness and ability to embrace and follow the Bonita Packing Co. Employee Handbook. Ability to interact constructively and employees at all levels, upper management, owners, and community members, with diverse personalities and cultures, exercising sensitivity, tact, and diplomacy with an emphasis on flexibility, customer service and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, including effective writing skills to prepare correspondence, various documents and reports, and email with knowledge of correct usage of English language, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Willingness and ability to meet Bonita Packing and department standards for attendance.
    Desired:
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Windows operating systems and related business and communication software and a demonstrated ability to learn and use various campus administrative computing systems and applications including, but not limited to itrade, Foodlink, and Procurant with the ability to update and expand skills as needed.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of strong verbal communication and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of growing areas and western vegetable production.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Employee must have the ability to walk, talk, hear, see, speak, concentrate, reach in all directions, stoop, bend, lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Use a computer, telephone and other equipment needed for the position
  • Possess the ability to reason and communicate clearly with or without reasonable accommodation.
