Boone County Joint Communications is the 911 answering point and dispatch center for police, fire, and emergency medical services in Boone County, Missouri. We are an accredited center of excellence (Tri-ACE accredited through IAED) using state-of-the-art electronics and radio technologies to serve as the vital link between the citizens of Boone County and the emergency services they need.

Responsibilities: Plans, installs, implements, and maintains the digital and analog, RF and wired, public safety communications system serving the fire, police, sheriff, and other city/county agencies within Boone County.
Status: Full-time, non-exempt, benefited
Working Hours: Primarily 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of three years’ experience in a medium to large-scale wireless communication operation. Must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. Must meet minimum qualifications set forth by the FBI and MSHP CJIS Security policy.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing, implementing, and project management of a large radio communications system. FCC General Radiotelephone operator’s license or an equivalent radio proficiency certificate issued by a recognized authority such as Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) or National Association of Business and Educational Radio (NABER).
Hourly Salary Range: $26.13 - $39.19 per hour. Commensurate with experience.
