Security Specialist
Key Role:
Assist with the coordination of personnel security documentation for the in-processing and out-processing of command affiliates and the coordination of documentation of SCI position and eligibility requests, including security in-processing, unofficial foreign travel requests, submitting investigation requests, conducting security briefings, and related personnel security actions. Ensure compliance with DoD and military service security policies and requirements for DoD and Cyber Mission Force personnel in-processing paperwork for access to DoD facilities and IT systems. Analyze the updating and maintenance of applicable SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines, including client updates to the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) and proper accounting for controlling, transmitting, transporting, package, and safeguarding SCI. Assist with providing support for the elimination of SCI by authorized means.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience with personnel security functions in a special security office, including a national security adjudicator, background investigator, or security manager role
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within 9 months of hire
Additional Qualifications:
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent organizational skills, including strict attention to detail
- Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC)
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
