Cyber Security SME
Key Role:
Leverage expertise in administering U.S. government security policies and procedures for multiple programs as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Create assessment and authorization packages using Risk Management Framework (RMF) for computer networks using government standards, including ensuring systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures, as outlined in the security authorization package. Maintain responsibility for hardware and software control, computer security briefings, educating users within the security program, and ensuring business needs are met. Work with systems administrators to ensure all systems security procedures are being followed in accordance with the System Security Plan (SSP) and Security Control Traceability Matrix (SCTM), ensure audit files are maintained and reviewed in accordance with client requirements, offer sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems, and provide focused solutions. Manage system administrators as needed for software patch installation and antivirus updates. Conduct security self-reviews and CONMON requirements. Lead CM efforts to coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware of a system to ensure compliance with configuration management policy.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience with Information System Security Management and monitoring, auditing, and analyzing information
- Experience with RMF accreditation efforts for Federal networks and information systems
- Knowledge of federal security regulations, standards, and processes, including FISMA, FIPS, FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-60, and NIST SP 800-53
- Knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security
- Knowledge of incident handling, including data spills for unclassified and classified systems
- Knowledge of virtual environments and hypervisors, including VXRails
- Ability to analyze and communicate opportunities for efficiency, identify gaps, work very closely with multiple stakeholders to resolve Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and review and create mitigation reports from compliance and vulnerability scanning tools, including Nessus or SCAP
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or IT
- IAM Level III Certification

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,000.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
