Cybersecurity Policy Analyst

The Opportunity:

When our country’s cyber security is on the line, simply reacting is not enough – we need a plan. And when that plan needs to protect our defense infrastructure, we need strategic policy development.  That’s why we need you, a policy specialist with the expertise required to analyze the policies that determine our cyber resilience.

As a cyber strategic planning and policy development consultant on our team, you’ll lead the assessment of the Army's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risks. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you’ll advance the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You’ll work in a consultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment. You Have:

  • 3 years of experience in Cybersecurity disciplines

  • Experience in cybersecurity policy at the Federal, DoD, Joint, and Army levels

  • Experience with staff coordination across the Army

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Ability to conduct research on current cybersecurity policies and procedures​

  • Ability to brief senior leaders

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Cybersecurity Technical level 2 or IA Management level 1 Certification in accordance with DOD 8570.1M

  • Ability to provide proactive, timely problem-solving solutions

  • Possession of excellent decision-making skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Master's degree

  • Security or IAT Level II Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
