Data Science Trainer, Mid

The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity for you to use your leadership and analytical skills to improve the DoD and federal agencies. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll lead data science training and curriculum, mentor teammates, develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, use automation, and apply machine learning to turn disparate data points into objective answers to help our nation’s services and leaders make data-driven decisions. You Have:

• 1 years of experience with executing data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence principles

• 1 years of experience with a statistical analytical programming language, including Python or R

• Experience with providing online or in-person teaching or training

• Experience with identifying analytic insight in data, developing visualizations, presenting findings to stakeholders, and statistical analysis techniques

• Experience as a formal instructor or facilitator

• Knowledge of relational database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQLite

• Ability to obtain a security clearance

• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with Web-based content management systems, including WordPress and Articulate Rise360

• Experience with facilitating training in virtual modalities

• Experience with source control and dependency management software, including Git or Maven and using relational databases, including MySQL

• Experience with managing a small team of 3-5 people and the technical delivery of a data science, machine learning, or artificial intelligence project

• Experience with instructional design principles and best-practice

• Ability to grow into a technical lead of one or more data science projects

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with little to no supervision

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or CS

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
