The Challenge:

That’s why we need you, an automated test engineer who can learn how to test, interpret, and improve to make sure our systems will solve real problems in the real world.
As a test engineer on our team, you’ll help software engineers analyze the creation of processes and experiments to test the functionality and performance of mission critical systems. Throughout development, you’ll ensure the highest quality software. You will be part of team that solves problems with complete end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced, Agile environment. You will develop and execute software test plans to identify software problems and their causes. Using full life cycle development following Agile methodology, you’ll work with developers, other technical team members, and users to build, test, and deliver systems to change government business and missions for the better. You Have:
- Experience with using the Unix CLI
- Experience with developing and maintaining scripts using Bash and Python
- Experience with creating documentation, monitoring, and troubleshooting testing outcomes
- Knowledge of analyzing functional requirements to develop operational assessment test procedures
- Knowledge of engineering and industry standard best practice testing concepts and methodologies
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience with test engineering, or 9 years of experience with test engineering in lieu of a degree
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.Work Model
