The Opportunity:
As a DevOps engineer, you know how to set up cloud environments and provision computer networking, storage, and virtual networks—ultimately, how to “harness the cloud.” We’re looking for a seasoned DevOps infrastructure engineer like you to support our clients as they modernize their IT infrastructures and meet their most challenging missions.

As a lead DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll oversee a team of cloud architects and engineers as they manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll apply your skills and experience within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions.

You Have:

• 10 years of experience in IT systems development
• 8 years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
• 8 years of experience with OOP scripting or programming languages
• 8 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning
• 8 years of experience with configuration management tools and automating CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building enterprise cloud-native solutions and hosting applications on commercial cloud providers
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms
• Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle and mentoring employees within a collaborative team environment
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor's degree or 8 years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing enterprise could-native solutions
• Experience leading teams of DevSecOps Engineers and Platform Engineers
• Experience with site reliability engineering, including working with an observability stack
• Experience with common build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and NPM
• Experience with tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, and cloud solutions or providers such as AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP
• Experience triaging and resolving issues related to both open source and commercial tools in public cloud environments, creating and improving continuous automation across multiple technical stacks, and automating CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins or GitLab
• Experience with containerization and container orchestration platforms with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Linux Shell Script
• Top Secret clearance
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solution Architect Professional, Google Cloud Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
