IT Project Manager

Key Role:

Manage consulting engagements and technology-based Information Technology (IT) solution projects for NIH clients. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Manage unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Perform day-to-day management of contract support operations, including multiple tasks and groups of personnel at multiple locations, on a single project. Demonstrate skills in the scope of work encompassed by the task order, provide technical guidance to the project team in the performance of the work, and review the quality of all work products. Analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions that normally involve the schedule, technology, methodology, tools, solution components, and financial management of the project. Organizes, directs, and coordinates the planning and production of all contact support activities. Maintain responsibility for staffing, project planning, project financials, and staff direction and oversight. Meets regularly with government program manager to discuss performance, propose initiatives, and establish priorities. Assist the Project Director/PI as required in managing contract performance.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in IT Project Management
• Experience with managing large-scale development efforts involving at least 15 staff
• Experience with business development supporting proposal preparation
• Experience in a project manager role or workstream lead role in large projects
• Experience in projects supporting health research, health IT, or other IT projects in health-mission-focused federal client organizations.
• Experience in using PM software solutions, including Jira
• Experience with Agile
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

• Experience with the NIH
• Master’s degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
